I have a special shelf for my collection of Dan Kennedy books. This latest book, No B.S. Marketing to the Affluent: The No Holds Barred, Kick Butt, Take No Prisoners Guide to Getting Really Rich, made it into my book bag within minutes of hitting the bookstores.
Ok, I wasn’t waiting outside the bookstore like a crazed Star Wars fan, but I did reserve a copy at the local book store and drive all the way to Fairfax, in spite of the price of gas.
After driving home…didn’t feel like sitting there at Borders for some reason, I dove straight in. As always, the writing style of Dan Kennedy is focused more on results than winning a Pulitzer. Fine by me!
This book is substantially longer than the other books in the No BS series, with a number of specific strategies focused on marketing to specific niches. Any one of them could represent millions of dollars in business for you.
There’s also a CD in the back of the book, but I haven’t listened to it.
The upside to marketing to the affluent is that these people tend to be affluent because of the way they think. Who would you rather market to? People who seek out value and live a life of “more and more” or people who are so focused on pinching pennies that they don’t see the dollars go by and complain about every little thing as though the world is out to get them?
I know which market I would rather target.
Great book. Worth a read.
