Good English
The following was once an example of good English grammar, and spelling:
“than the kynge stablysshed all the knyghtes and gaff them rychesse and londys; and charged them never to do outerage nothir morthir, and allwayes to fle treson, and to gyff mercy unto hym that askith mercy, uppon payne of forfiture [of their] worship and lordship of kynge Arthure for evermore.”
–Sir Thomas Malory, Morte Darthur
Think on that the next time you complain about someone using “improper English.” 😉
ive given up my grammar police role now lol
